Railscape is proud to support St Anne’s School and Sixth Form College with the donation of £15,000.00 to help with the purchase of a 17 seater mini-bus.
The special school, which is based in East Yorkshire currently supports for 130 pupils, from the age of 2 to 19 years old. Its pupils have a vast range of disabilities, including severe Learning Difficulties, Autism, Down Syndrome and profound physical and mental disabilities.
The coach will be used for regular trips into the local community, which are vital in providing the right type of stimulation, and also will prepare them properly for adult life after school.
This Coach fitted with a tail lift will ensure that all the pupils will be able to benefit from invaluable trips out, in particular, to ensure that they can go swimming at least once a week, take part in rebound therapy and go horse riding to the local riding school on a regular basis.
Hendi Longman, St Anne’s School Teacher says,
“I cannot thank the Variety Club, ABI and Railscape enough. The difference the coach will make to the school is indescribable, and the generosity of Railscape and ABI is quite overwhelming.”
